About Annette MacCaul

annette_macaul_hypnotherapistAs a professional hypnotherapist, qualified in clinical hypnotherapy and psychotherapy, my specialism is solution focused hypnotherapy. Based in Cornwall, I offer solutions to local people and beyond.

What I have learned throughout my time spent studying at the renowned Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training centre (CPHT) in Plymouth is that Hypnotherapy can achieve results. My belief in this practice is that it’s a powerful way to take control. A way to resolve, manage and find solutions to success in life.

Prior to training as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist I worked for many years in learning disability and mental health services. I completed my BSc Nursing and Social Work Studies in 2001 and a Masters Degree in Health Services Research with merit in 2012.

My background in health led me to seek a new way to help people create positive change, I wanted to find a way to help people to heal. I began to read up on hypnosis and hypnotic induction and discovered a huge amount of research into hypnosis and hypnotherapy. Although this research is ongoing, there were enough positive findings to convince me that there was something to hypnotherapy, and I attended several training weekends before deciding to undertake the full training to become a certified clinical hypnotherapist.

To get to the stage of becoming a qualified hypnotherapist with proven results I trained at the renowned Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training centre (CPHT) in Plymouth, where I gained my Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy, as well as my Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma, which is considered a “gold standard” qualification. Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training is recognised as a leading practical course in the field of hypnotherapy.

I am registered with the National Council of Hypnotherapists (NCH) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). As a member of these professional organisations I am obliged to attend supervision and undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities, such as training and self-study. The organisations act as regulators to hypnotherapy practitioners and I adhere to strict codes of conduct as outlined by them. I also hold full public liability insurance in line with the regulators requirements. This means that people who are looking for a therapist can be assured that the service they recieve is professional and accountable.

I am always delighted to see clients achieve outstanding results. To resolve their problems. To take control of their minds and situations to live a better life. Though hypnosis I am able to achieve this. I am able to help people. It’s people that come to me for hypnosis that makes the practice worth it. That’s why I’m a hypnotherapist and here to serve those in need.
